PRS vs YouTube

Over recent weeks the Performing Right Society (PRS) and YouTube have been at each other’s throats over the renewal of a soon to expire license contract. Google, the parent company of YouTube, has claimed that the PRS are asking for fees much more than previously agreed, in turn PRS has stated that Google are asking for significantly less. The row has culminated in Google removing all music video content from YouTube UK.
